Use Make offer in a conversation instead of agreeing in loose chat. An offer lists the exact items, quantities and currency from each side, plus an optional meeting time and place. When it's accepted, those terms are saved as a snapshot that neither side can quietly change later — even if the original listing is edited.
Any change to the agreed terms or the meeting time has to be proposed on the deal page and accepted by the other trader. If someone asks you to “just add a bit more” in the game, that isn't what you agreed.
After the trade, both of you confirm completion on the deal page. Only deals confirmed by both traders count as completed. If only one side confirms, the deal clearly shows that. Then leave an honest review — it stays hidden until both of you have submitted one, or until 14 days have passed.
Trochus Exchange can't see inside the game. It can't tell whether someone showed up, what was in the trade window or whether items changed hands. It records what both traders agreed to and what each of them reports. That's why one person's claim is shown as an allegation until a moderator reviews it, and why reputation only counts deals both traders confirmed.
Use the Report button on a listing, message, review or profile. Choose the reason that fits best — for example “Scam attempt” or “Impersonation / claims to be staff” — and add any details that help. Reports go to moderators, not to the person you report.
If something went wrong with a deal (for example “Didn't show up” or “Changed the price”), report an issue from the deal page. The other trader can respond, you can resolve it together, or a moderator decides. You can also block someone to stop them messaging you.
Moderators can only see a private message if it has been reported, and that access is logged. Read the community rules to see what's not allowed.
